Meet Sarah Nauss

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Sarah brings a lifelong passion for volleyball and athletic excellence to every team she coaches. As a two-sport, four-year varsity athlete in high school, Sarah went on to compete at the collegiate level, playing volleyball at Rockhurst University in Missouri. Her coaching journey began in Lawrence, Kansas, where she led both CYO and club teams with Topeka Impact—earning a bid to the Girls Junior National Championships (GNJC) in the American Division.

After returning to the Bay Area, Sarah began coaching both girls and boys volleyball at American High School alongside fellow 15’s coach Jacqui Lewis. From 2016 to 2021, Sarah served as the girls varsity head coach, guiding the team to the North Coast Section (NCS) playoffs every season—including a NorCal playoff appearance in 2016.

Whether on the court or off, Sarah value teamwork, growth, and grit. When not coaching, you’ll find Sarah chasing after her 2-year-old or planning her next international adventure.
